Hypertram 4000: World Tour is an alt-control tram arcade game created for the 2025 Indie City All Stars game jam. Inspired by H2Overdrive and Densha de Go this game creates a time-attack style arcade experience in its three game modes: Precise Stop, Street Crossing, and Bowling!
Hypertram 4000: World Tour was selected by judges as a finalist. It was shown at Indie City Games' July showcase in Chicago where it was played by over a hundred attendees.
As a Project Lead I was responsible for:
- Origional concept of the game, putting a team together, and facilitating communication on deliverables.
- Physical design and manufaturing of the game's controller.
- Creating an art bible and refernce documentation to communicate artistic style and vision.
- Providing feedback on iterations from the art team, and implementing all art in game.
As a Game Designer I was responsible for:
- Design and concept of all three minigames.
- Adjusting minigames according to playtester feedback.
- Tuning and balancing to make sure that scoring system allows both casual play and mastery.
As a Programmer I was responsible for:
- Programming of all gameplay elements, including the game's unique needs relating to physics and sequencing.
- Implementation of all UI, audio, and easter eggs.
- Creating system to read input from the physical controller's arduino and pass that to Unity.
